Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Great info Tom! I wish there was a way to integrate them into the rms mount for the xr15. I could probably sit it to the back of the tank under the arm where it doesn't impede the xr15. Id probably get the blue version and run it on a very low percentage.
Have you checked out Kcleven (I think that's his 'name') he makes all sorts of 3D printed mounts for various lights to attach to RMS and 8020 (extruded aluminum). He has an Etsy store and he's on IG. I've had him make me some custom stuff. I think I contacted him on IG. I'll find his IG username.

I'd need to spend some time looking at the RMS mounts but I'm sure it could be done. I had a print for mounting a Prime to the RMS mount but I don't really remember the mount that well. I mounted my Blades to 3030 T-Slot with brackets I 3d Printed that attached to the (optional on 39" and below) Clip Mounts from AI for the Blades. I had the grows (which are still pretty blue) so I can't say much one way or the other on the Glows. I'm sure something could be rigged between the Clip Mounts and the RMS Mounts fairly easily.

So I know a lot of people don't have lids on their saltwater aquariums but I don't know why they choose to note have one. Can you guys enlighten me?
Maybe they don't have jumpers like wrasses?? I don't know. I don't have a lid on mine, the clownfish only go near the surface to eat pellets. Other than that they are busy hosting their anemone. My Tomini and foxface also only go near the surface to eat. The tomini follows me like a dog when I walk past the tank, the foxface is learning. When startled, they both dive for the rocks. I know what was long winded... short answer for you though.. I'm not sure why some have them and some don't.

Cusseta, small town, opposite side of Benning from columbus
I went to Columbus a couple times when I was at Ft. Benning for basic/AIT, airborne school and Ranger school.

The brackets you made me for the Meridian are SOLID and very well made.

I have fish that could jump so not having a lid isn't an option for me really.

A good lid is not inexpensive but almost any fish can and will jump given the right motivation. I even had a Mandarin jump once, it didn't get very far but it cleared the rim.

Now maybe if all I had in my tank was a Frogfish or maybe some marauding, murderous fish that I just as soon was gone I might forgo the lid.

Mine are heavy glass ones.

I think PET-CF is THE material for reef tank light mounts. Glad you like them.
