Do what you need to do as far as aeration for the fish and that'll be enough for the corals.

Assuming you mean the lights, Amanda?

Unless you have a lot of sps, lights being off for a few days even wont hurt your corals. If it's much longer than that without power, you most likely have bigger problems

I think the biggest concern is the temperature and water flow. Do you think the temperature will drop a lot? Without SPS most corals can go a day or two without light. If you can run it for an 2-3 hours a day that would work I think.

No I meant for the wave makers I thought if they didn't run it was bad for the corals.

I don't think so because we have a gas fireplace that we can run which will keep the living room toasty which is where all my tanks are except the small one in the kitchen but it's close enough to the living room I think it will be ok as well as far as heat.

Would it be better to do 2-3 hours at once or maybe break it up into say 30 minutes every two hours or so?
