No I meant for the wave makers I thought if they didn't run it was bad for the corals.

It's not ideal, but if your in a situation like that. It's not the end of the world if the corals dont have proper flow. One or two of these battery powered aerators will help keep 02 up in between generator runs.

Would it be better to do 2-3 hours at once or maybe break it up into say 30 minutes every two hours or so?

I have two of a different brand but they also work good I got them when I use to travel to different places in NC for work because I would always check out the aquarium stores in whatever area I was working and often would find fish that I just had to have. I don't worry about my freshwater tanks as much because they have lots of plants in them that will keep them oxygenated.

Temps are main concern. Better to run the lights all at once for 2-3 hours or not at all.

That's good news. I really hope this situation basses by you guys pretty quickly and doesn't cause too much trouble

I would feel better about it if they were saying snow and not ice but it is what it is, we are prepared as we can be all that's left to do is to wait and see what happens.

coffee time here...got the new 1 1/2 bulk heads and 1 1/2 valves for the new tank.
have to order more hydros cables...and a gryre...and what ever else I need for the plan for the new tank...plan still under development.
Think I am gonna dry build everything and then have the new tank ready to switch out in a day.
Buying one of those hydraulic table lifts gonna make it easy...and no stress on the new tank from 8 guys lifting it... They only like a few hundred bucks and lifts 1000 pounds...new tank will weight 800ish empty

Its very cool looking! I just seen a really pretty red goni on SBBs website.

yep red/ornage...maybe some zoas if you like them..will add pop of color
if you were close by I would give you some orange bam bams...last count we had close to 1000 of them...
