Aquarium Specialty - dry goods & marine livestock
Hey guys? Spirulina Mysis vs Spirulina Brine for a Yellow Tang. Thoughts😁

I have put some nori in and he seems to like the rocks better than the nori. I heard that’s normal though for Captive bred yellows that are smaller. He has been eating some mysis and brine I put in but I was going to grab a Spirulina version as I assume that’s healthier.

unfortunately, my cholesterol has been on the rise. probably because Kev made me eat so many lobster rolls this past year. 🦞

My Bristletooth and Foxface both like the Julian Sprung's Sea Veggies Green and Purple but won't touch the Red. They also eat TDO, Fauna Marin Spirulina Pellets, and Hikari Mysis, Spirulina Mysis and Spirulina Brine.

It takes them all a little time to figure out the Nori holders but they usually figure it out after a few days to a week.

That’s what I have read. How long do you think I should leave it in the tank? I’m putting just a tiny piece in twice a day at the moment and I don’t mind if nutrients increase a bit but I also don’t want to cause any harm.

Funny enough my cleaner shrimp loves the nori for some reason and goes and tears it up. I have no idea why lol.

Top Shelf Aquatics
Plumbing is done for the most part. Waiting on a union for the return pump. I used a wye to split the return lines to avoid using a T fitting to reduce friction.

I put nori on a clip but I’ve never actively seen him eating it. Occasionally I see a piece being blown around the tank. He does eat pellets, flake , Reef Jerky, mysis and brine. I think he likes the brine the best. Mine is bigger though, about 4”.
