Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I guess let's see how they adjust to the new placement. I'm not familiar with scolys but if they're anything like other meat corals they fluff up in low light, and next to no flow. Even like my lobo once I moved it under a ledge it's fluffed up like a marshmallow.
This is most likely the issue, as button scolys aren't actually scolymia. They're closer to acans. Less flow and light is ideal for these. Mid/low to low flow is the key

I don't think its not a real one but they had it labeled as a stratosphere zoa's. The mother colony had a much larger purple center but these were fragged recently. I am happy its already nice and open as well. I thought maybe its a Stratocaster zoa? Anyone good with Zoa IDs?

What do you think I paid for it or what would you have paid?

The price was only $20 dollars too lol so I will take it.

Great owl maybe?

The worst part is I was shopping at @That Crusso Kid's town store as well. Its all his fault. I went all the way up north to visit and he pulled one over on me....

If I was there Chris and I would probably be in jail by now.

How much alk/calc per day is your tank consuming? Dont you mostly have softies Amanda?
I'm not sure how much it uses per day. I have several kinds of zoas, gonioporas, mini scolymia, gorgonia, cespitularia, a singularity, Devils Hand, cabbage leather, and toad stool,a couple of mushrooms currently and next week I have RFAs, more gonis, an encruster coral, some duncans, and a birdsnest coming. I think that's all of them...

I think where I have them they will get mid-low flow and lower light so hopefully they will improve.

Amanda, I didn't make it to your thread yet but Scolys should be puffy during the day and showing some tentacles at night.

Amanda dear,

How are you deciding that you need to dose in the first place? And why afr? You'll want to know what you're consuming and at what rate before you add anything. Especially afr which is comprehensive.

Coral growth seems really slow to me and I don't dose anything currently and everything i read about All 4 Reef was good so I thought I would give it a try. I don't do water changes as often as I should so I'm sure minerals and such get depleted.
