I eventually moved mine over to my Apex! Although I have similar issues too with my where my apex will turn the sensor off for whatever reason

I have mine on a Bluetooth controlled plug. The plug is set to come on for 30 seconds twice a day and then is dead for the rest of the day. It works better than most ATO failsafes I've seen, but without the cost or complication.

I think I have the perfect area for them and will for sure be adding some in the future! How far away should they be kept from each other and other corals?

Keep them away from anything aggressive of course, but you can basically glue them where they are touching. They look pretty good bunched together actually, but you can also space them how you want and let them grow in. Many of mine are touching

On my old 125 I used a gravity fed float switch downstream of a solenoid. The solenoid turned on every 6 hours for 1 hour.
