Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I guess we'll have to see once you open it because i don't see 12O as a model on the site
It is I believe the blue/white version as when I turn it on i don't see any other colors.

This is the par for the single bar on a similar sized tank according to a YouTube video I watched.

gave me idea for the new rock work in the new tank..use the idea for the right side sinc you can look in on that side and make the left side a little taller but open..
think I am going to build a sand trap out of acrylic and have zoa rocks all around it to hide the edge..
still in the planning stage and finding ideas...

Let's see what it looks like on your tank so you can adjust spectrum based on that.

OR4 is the model and 120 is the length. The OR4s come in 6 different light arrangements so you will have to see which arrangement you have. In general for a whiter look you go for a 2 to 1 (roughly) mix of white/natural LEDS to blue/UV type LEDS depending on how many bars you need for your PAR requirements. If you only need two bars than just pic a whiter and a bluer to mix.

For instance if you only need two bars and your current bar is a Reef Day Plus (18k so pretty blue but not windex) then you could add a Blue Sky to enhance the fluorescence. Once you know which or4 version you have then we can help to balance it.

Wow these are pretty strong if that's just one bar.

Ok this makes more sense now, so is the one Amanda has more like a 50/50 white blue bar?

I think I can look back and find exactly which one I got in my messages. Give me a few minutes to try to find it. Lol

Been busting my hump making my mu shu pork, hot and sour soup and chicken chop suey. Baked the cookies last night. 😉 Hey Paul check out what’s on my spoon!

Found it! The one I have is the reef day plus version.
That is their 'full spectrum model' which is arguably still pretty blue at 18K but it will give you more white than their other reef-oriented models.

Reef Day Plus

You could pick another Reef Day Plus but a Blue Plus would give you the fluorescence pop you also want. They're pretty strong lights so you may only need two. A PAR meter reading would answer that.

I really like how you thoughtfully cellophane-wrap your fortune cookies.

It makes it more authentic don’t you think?

Oof I'm sorry to hear that bud, I'm sure Battlecorals will get things straightened out!

Yeah working with him to hopefully let me go pick it up. Of course they blamed weather delays as to why it can’t be delivered today in Florida… I mean the weather is crazy alright 🤣🙄
