That is their 'full spectrum model' which is arguably still pretty blue at 18K but it will give you more white than their other reef-oriented models.

Reef Day Plus

You could pick another Reef Day Plus but a Blue Plus would give you the fluorescence pop you also want. They're pretty strong lights so you may only need two. A PAR meter reading would answer that.
Thank you!!!

There's a guy that's got two 48inch Or3 one is blue Plus and the other is UV for $300 with a ceiling mount that I wouldn't be able to use. But I just paid almost $700 for a new cpap machine so I have to recover from that before I can make any more big purchases.

I don't think my birdsnest is alive anymore. It was doing well and growing and then it turned white...
That looks like Fiji variety Birdsnest, my favorite but mine seem to do that as well, so I'm no help.

I'm not sure why but it is a problem I've always had with that type of birdsnest. I have in the past, fragged the branches by clipping branches in the still-alive tissue and gluing them to frag plugs and then discarding all the dead parts. It did work but eventually I get tired of pruning and replanting and just chuck them. Too bad as they grow fast and look great but I just can't maintain them long term.

Years ago I believe I had the same birdsnest. Still going strong on the counter! Sorry Amanda!

Yeah working with him to hopefully let me go pick it up. Of course they blamed weather delays as to why it can’t be delivered today in Florida… I mean the weather is crazy alright 🤣🙄

IMG_8258.jpeg
That's crazy 😂 ... At least if you pick them up it's less time needed to light acclimate since they won't spend time in a dark box for 24 hours.

Shortly after I set up my tank two years ago I got a cute little cleaner goby he was one of the first fish I bought well after a while he disappeared. He was so little I just chalked it up to him not making the transition. Well guess what I just found in my sump when I was pouring some water in to top it off. Yep it was the now not so tiny cleaner goby! He was between the last two baffles of the sump I managed to take a small net and shoo him out into the return chamber into a net so I could move him back into my display tank. I guess I had never seen him because of all the live rock I have in my middle sump chamber.

Fortunately we didn’t lose an expensive coral!
For me, if it is a Fiji, it is easy for me to get as my favorite NSLFS has a huge colony that they've had for many years. They have clippings from it most of the time in the store at a decent price. I don't want to buy more though until I figure out why I keep losing them.

I'm glad it survived all this time! It must be in awe like moving into a mansion now 😂

This is a picture from the seller I got it from.
