Speaking of donuts. I have been to a lot of donut places in my time seeking the perfect donut. Parlor Donut in Clearwater might be my favorite.

They were weird! Typically, a donut is dense and has a "sponge" texture. These were flaky and layered instead. As far as traditional donuts go. Friars in Gatlinburg, TN, has always been a staple for me.

Yes? Kind of like a croissant, just not buttery like one, if that makes sense. I don't even think they had just a plain donut.

Those used to be called Cronuts until people complained.
