It took me a long time to get my skimmer right, its not DC controllable. I had to add the air valve to fine tune it

Very similar to the cotton ball I used in my Bubble Magus except more controllable for sure!

Maybe with doing the air line like you have it and keeping my pump on 1 I can cut back even more on the air and that will fix it.

with the air completely restricted, you can watch your water level in the skimmer when moving the water valve

Been thinking about getting a UV sterilizer for my tank since I'm wanting to add more fish but don't have a QT tank. Would this one work according to the description I would need a 9 watt one for my size tank. I know its not a sure fire was to avoid diseases but I figured it might help.

I have that exact unit on my 100. It is a good UV and the bulb is easy to replace. I don't know if it would help much with disease but it will help clarify the water. Pathogen sterilization has different irradiation requirements than water clarification. I run mine with a Sicce Syncra Silent 1.0. Replacement bulbs are easy to get.

Here are pictures of mine. I mounted it to my light bar but it can be submerged or wall mounted in a sump.

Yes that's a bundle they sell. TSA has some similar bundles. You should be all set. I have the 9 watt on my 100. The 13 is more appropriate for your tank.

Now though, a nice bowl of grits with some blackberry jam is my preference!

To each their own, but sweet grits sounds awful to me. But at least you've actually had them!
