Mine doesn't notice until she sees the credit card bill...

I currently have the pearly and had the blue dot previously. The blue dot was quite beautiful coloring and got to be about 5" long. Was about 3" when I got it so I'm pretty sure it reached its age. Was very friendly. This pearly one is still learning so she hides.

I loved your blue dot! I know they prefer colder water, how do you balance that?

I had the tank at 74 degrees. it's at 76 now. the other fish didn't seem to mind.

they also only live up to 5 years. I think their ideal temp is 72. I don't think any of the pet stores lower their temps though.
