I was getting everything ready for mashed potatoes and realized I out of milk 😡 ! Since I was home alone ( Hmmmm, that reminds me of something 🤔) no mashed potatoes for me.. since I needed another side and I had more pork chops than I needed I grilled some barbecue chops as a side.

Looks great!!

So the last hour or so has been pretty crazy. This morning when I came in my alveopora was a skeleton with a couple bits of flesh. Yesterday, it looked unhappy but not completely withdrawn (this was at 4pm) . The whole tank has been having stuff going on here and there. Made executive decision and did something I hadn’t done in a long time. I didn’t have enough rodi so I used tap water and prime. And then exchanged out close to 17 gallons . Corals were understandably not thrilled but it needed to be done. Managed to keep salt at 1.025 and pH is now 8.34(that was big jump from 7.92). Rest of chemistry is gonna have to wait as I’d like to get back into bed and maybe get a little more sleep soon. This is the before after of the Alve

I did pure it back in as there’s still green something way back in the nooks . We go know we a.
The pH spike came from using tap water. I hope you didn’t make a huge jump in pH. That would be detrimental to your corals.
Do you know the pH prior to the water change?

Man Steve that is awful to hear my friend. What a gorgeous coral that I remember seeing when it was healthy. What are you thinking is going on in your tank man?

Oh this happened AFTER the water change? I was taking the water change as an attempt to help what was already going on?

This how I’ve always imagined Tim . Find a new meme for John. There’s plenty of colors to choose from. I think an iridescent purple might be nice
This guy gets it!

No I did the WC to try to stabilize thinjgs but carried away and probably did too much at once

Lol that is unbelievable. The eye you have for placement and coral variety is top rank brother. You should be extremely proud of this work.
