Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Second one. First on a 16 rack figi and now a 32 figi rack.
Good catch. I love the convenience and reliability of magnet mounts but they always make me a little nervous as well. I don't think I'll be buying any Fiji Cube frag racks in the near future. I only have one magnetic rack, a little eShopps one.

I saw some in an aquarium in a hotel we were staying in in Florida. I quickly googled if they were reef safe and they were but were not recommended due to size. You’ve had yours for a while and they seem to be about the same size. A couple years ago I was at lfs in Berea Ohio and they had them. I’m going to be in Berea next month with my boys for Fragginstein and might swing by that lfs. Ooh, bacon!

it will be a long long time before this girl ever outgrows this tank. I have had her for 2 years at least. She seems o stay in the sand and not climb on rocks. so anything in the sand will get knocked over.

Same.

AND I reprinted the XF330 yesterday. Turned out beautiful but I forgot to get a picture for you. Magnet was removed this morning. Orca needs to be swapped in for the 6075 and then the only magnet in the tank is th ESHOPPS frag rack.

I ended up with an eshopps a few years ago when I got it in the Christmas gift exchange that’s done. Really nice but yeah, the magnet swelled up on the inside.

anyone see the squid pro quo?

40000lbs of squid spilled in the roadway out to Point Judith. All the block island ferry goers had to wait 8 hours till they cleared the road to re-open. 🤪

It was about 20 yrs ago but quite memorable when a truck carrying live lobsters had an accident and there were about 2 tons of them on the expressway. Closed part of the road down for several hrs during rush hour

My wife told me of something wild that happened during the Blizzard of ‘78 when she was coming into work at the hospital she worked at. The medical center was near Chinatown in Boston and when passing through she heard chickens. A cop was nearby and told her “no lady, you’re not hearing things”. Apparently a truck of live chickens turned over in the snowstorm and there were chickens, mostly alive at that point wandering around. Supposedly frozen chickens were being found buried in snowbanks for a while afterwards. I kid you not.
