Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
To all you reefers that dose the phosphate products. Is that primarily for raising P04 levels, or are there some other benefits? My P04 is never low enough that I'd purposely want to raise it. I'm super low tech. No skimmer, just live rock. I only run a patch of floss if I blow detritus off the rocks during a water change or something similar. That's probably why my P04 is never super low.

Made it through. For now.
A few changes I didn’t mention earlier about the tank. The large favites that I had , past tense, had been slowly flaking away for a while now. I was hoping the changes in water husbandry would help, and it appeared to somewhat. I was blowing the detritus of the rocks and hit the coral with a few light puffs this morning and it pretty much disintegrated. Also my lepto was not liking the spot it was in so I decided to reverse it and the favia on the lower rock. So that’s where it stands.

That's a lot of amphipods.
I wonder if he sautés then with butter and garlic of deep fries them to dip into cocktail sauce? 🤔

At their size I think you probably just eat em like rice. Stir fried with veggies and hot sauce -Jimmys for you Kev- with some mushrooms and shredded kelp.

Makes sense, they're a son of a gun to put on a spit.

I dosed because my phosphates were consistently 0. Once they were detectable and stayed detectable I didn't have to dose any more. Unfortunately it was 2 bottles of NeoPhos, each one twice as expensive as the Loudwolf product to make 10 gallons or so.

So I'm officially a soccer Dad now. Both boys are playing this year. On the way to practice I saw on Google maps that there was a pond in the woods behind the soccer field. So I technically spent the practice exploring the woods. Oh well their mom was there too 🤣

Impressive in my opinion.
Any idea how you're getting to zero P04? In my size tank though, one block of frozen mysis can double mine lol.
