Additional Aquarium Information

What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
I received some great news yesterday that I didn't share with you all:

Council approved a "Prior Public-Sector Service Vacation Accrual" policy. What does this mean for me? Currently, I've been with this city for just under a year. I've got almost 25 years of Public Sector service with the 2 previous cities I was employed by. My current vacation accrual is 3.38 hours every two weeks. Once I fill out the form and it's approved I'll go to 6.48 hours every two weeks. I'm going from 2 weeks accrued annually to 4 weeks.
That means you get to take one long vacation to some exotic location, correct?

Smorgasbord overnight sounds like a Tinder tagline!

You couldn't even bring yourself to call it #Smorgasbordafterdark! You're trying to protect the brand, and I respect that. 🤣

ARE YOU ENTERTAINED KEVIN!!???

Ignore me I also work weekends 🙃 😪 🙂
I'm old and was responding before coffee kicked in...

I can't remember the last time I tested mag. I was getting to the point as well where I would just test alk and move on (dosing AFR)
That's one of the reasons I like AFR, if your Alk is good, everything else is too. You MAY have to add a capful of mag every 4-6 months just to be on the safe side. I haven't... LOL

I probably should have done that but meh, I always assumed it was alright, haha

Maine is exotic for you desert peeps!. I accrued so much time I haven't gone back to work!
Alycia and I really want to take a trip up the East Coast during the fall when the trees are full of fall colors.

too late this season. but yes, VT NH and ME. typically end of Sept, 1st 2 weeks of Oct is the window. it really depends though on the rainfall when it starts.

2 week family vacation around Labor Day next year to Canfield Ohio for 7 days of the Canfield fair with daily gorging on fair fries soaking in malt vinegar!

That's awesome Tim! Do you accrue sick leave as well?

Me too! As long as my euphyllia look good, I know the mag is within range...more or less! 🤣

One of the reasons I like Michigan. The fall up here is spectacular

Yeah. I earn 3.68 hours every two weeks. Plus 1 personal choice day annually in addition to 15 holidays (Christmas is the whole week and Thanksgiving is Thursday and Friday, not single days).

Our colors aren't even at peak yet which is late, we have had a warm "fall" so far and a lot of trees still have green leaves...

They are falling quite a bit here. My maple probably only has 35% of the leaves still on it.
