What do you think are the keys to your success in reefing?
Patience
Your daughters are close to my age I’m 26 a you’re right I am not looking forward to my daughter growing up I’m nervous.😅
My daughter is 27, I got to walk her down the aisle last year and she’s giving my wife and I our first grandchild in two months. Like you we thought we wanted 4 . After our first miscarriage it took us 3 years to get her pregnant. With our third she was considered high risk due to age and we figured that we had 3 healthy children we better not push it so she had me neutered.

Well it turns out that it wasn’t Gwyneth Paltrow’s head after all but 4 rfa’s. I have a total of eight. My favorite is in the second picture but has pinched itself into a crevice.

They are lovely!!!

Hi Steve! Thank you! That’s really a good drawing I love to draw as well! Maybe we could talk more doodles!🪸✍️
Sure I’d love to. Both my parents were artis so that might be where the doodlbug came from. I work overnight at a psych hospital and do most of my drawing then.

Did you use soil or stratum for your substrate Amanda? I see the sand capping layer.
I have used different things. Pool filter sand (white sand), medium grit black diamond sand blasting sand (black sand), and safety sorb like mechanics use to soak up oil, and a red plant substratethat I think was made by fluval. I like them all equally as far as looks. I use root tabs fertilizer for any heavy root feeding plants and liquid fertilizer for the none root feeding plants.

@kingranch2003 I have also used soil capped surgery sand following the Walstad method and it was great for the plants but if you are like me and like to move things around in the tank when you get tired of looking at it the same I wouldn't recommend it because when you pull up a plant the soil will come up and make a mess on the sand.
