I love wrasses. I don't think I'd ever own a tank without one again. I'm curious. What are your favorite wrasses and why? I have a list of the ones I'd love to own someday... Probably the one at the top is the johnsoni. ...and honestly the lineatus is up there as well...

I keep a yellow Cori's and a leopard wrasse in my tank. Leopard is hands down my favorite fish in there. Absolutely gorgeous.
I want a potter's one day! Love leopards! I'll have a couple of them when I upgrade. :)

Man that's really a hard one. I have C. jordani, C. laboutei, C. exquisitus, C. isoscoles, C. lineatus, P. attenutatus, P. lineopunctatus, H. melasmapomas and M. geoffroyi and I would be hard pressed to pick between them. If I had to say it would be one I don't have....yet. C. earlei.

@mdbannister I heartedly recommend the Potter's. I've had mine for several years and he is great addition.

I don’t think that I’ve ever had a tank (since 1973) without a Harlequin Tusk... but other favorite wrasses include Lineatus, Red Velvet, and 8 line Flasher.
I had over 40 wrasses in my 450g tank for a few years.

Love my Halichoeres timorensis. “Orange Dashed” wrasse. Always shows up to the party and makes a scene. Lol. Even has his own lil sandbed cup in my bare bottom he calls home. So cool to watch him go over and dive into the sand. Although, he doesn’t sit well for pics.

That’s a hard one to answer as I like so many. I guess my favorite right now has been the Earmuff. I don’t see them often and never even heard of them til I saw a thread here searching for one. My Rhomboid and Marble would be my next favorites

I bought my first wrasse a few months ago. A yellow and purple wrasse; also called a four spot yellow I think? I have tried to get a picture but it is so hard! I need to play with the wife's camera, I think, to get a good shot. I have really enjoyed it though and want to get a leopard wrasse too!

Uff da! Tough one! I currently have

Lineatus
Rhomboid
Nahacky
Shutmani
Bathyphilus
Lunatus
Attenuatus
Paineorum

Of the wrasse I have I love my Attenuatus for his personality. Rhomboid and Nahacky is close as well.

Of the ones yet on my short list I would say Johnsoni and maybe Earlei would be up there.

Red Corris Wrasse and Harlequin Tusk. Unfortunately most of the really gorgeous wrasses get pretty big. The sand sifter variety usually attack each other for the first few days as well.

I have a chance to get a quarantined lineatus for $175. Strongly considering as it’s a beautiful fish. I have a melanurus and an orange back. Not sure my favorite just yet.
