10 Gallon Desktop Nano (DIY)

My 10 gallon Desktop nano, it's currently cycling, nitrite phase right now :D The Dimensions are 15x15x10 1/4" glass, self built, rimless all around.

Equipment: 2 Koralia Nanos, 18" SLR T5HO Nova Extreme 2x18W, Skilter filter that will be modded for refugium, 50W Hydor Theo Heater, AquaticLife 115 mini skimmer that is broken in on my other tank. Also will be adding an ATO soon from www.Autotopoff.com.

Rock: 12lbs Carib Sea base rock, unknown amount of aragonite sugar fine sand, roughly 1.5" depth.

Livestock: this will be a zoanthid dominated tank.

Thats it for now until cycle is finished :)

Thanks for the kind comments everyone! I hope to start putting livestock in it in a couple weeks. Nitrites are currently 3+ Nitrates were reading around 5 or 10. I haven't tested ammonia and i probably won't until i'm ready for live stock, not wasting ammonia solution on a lifeless tank hehe.

I have probably 10+ zoo frags from my 20 gallon long that i will be putting in here when the time comes :)

I have a question about my aquascape, should i remove the rock in the VERY front? Other than that rock i love the scape, but that one rock is questionable to me.

Test results for today: VIA API

Ammonia = .25ppm
Nitrite = 5ppm + maxed out!
Nitrate = 10-20ppm maybe 15ppm it's in between.

Day 13 of cycle.

I would maybe move that rock in the middle front and put a brain of some type there instead.

Ah, that's a cool idea actually, thanks Mike.

The skimmer has been on my 20 gallon breaking in but i'm not real satisfied with the skimmate. It's really hit and miss I have to adjust it quite often and it produces lots of microbubbles even after being broken in. That being said i'm not sure i'll be putting it in this tank after all, unless i decided to make a full size fuge to put it in.

I was digging through some of my live rock and found a cool flat piece that would be awesome for growing zoanthids or some other matting softy. So i removed the front middle piece and put this in it's place, what do you think?

Also i forgot to mention, this piece has some coralline on the otherside of it, hopefully it will seed the tank a bit.
