Hello there, I recently started a new 10 gallon and am considering upgrades. My current system has: Hipargero 30w LED Light
Finnex HMA-S 50W HEATER
Sicce VOYAGER NANO STREAM PUMP (250 GPH)
BRS Refractometer
10 lbs dry rock / 10 lbs live sand

Within the next two months I plan on upgrading to the 20 Nuvo and getting an RODI system with that as well. For the moment I'm weighing the merits between an ATO, Nano skimmer, or media reactor with carbon. I'm not having any algae issues and my nitrates have been ranging from 8-12 ppm and phosphates between .04-.06 ppm. Right now my only livestock is a firefish and i'd like to add a cleaner shrimp in a month or so. With all that in mind i'm looking for opinions, i'm leaning towards an ATO right now to help with salinity swings and so that when I do get a skimmer there can be a constant water level.

Definitely go for the ATO. It is a maintenance saver. Anything to make life simpler in an already husbandry heavy hobby.
