plumbed in the ATO and UV which I believe completes my sump. I have no room for a skimmer unless I got creative with the filter sock compartment or took out my fuge but hoping as is works fine for my goals.

The directions on this UV state you can mount it vertically but I’ve read about air bubble trapping so hoping I don’t have any issues.

future goals are to improve my plumbing and redo the sump at some point because this is functional but far from organized haha.

2/3 dream fish are in the tank. My LFS had this active guy going nuts on live bloodworms so I took him home and got him eating same day. He spent a week in an acclimator for the tangs to get used to him.

I can see why people love these fish! Wonderful personality but absolutely a picky eater.

I wanted to ensure success so I bought:

live blood worms
Live clams
Frozen mussels
Masstick
A feather duster

with everything I offered the only thing he wants is the blood worms. I’ll continue to try and get him on frozen food but I’ll be more than happy feeding live bloodworms for his lifespan as we’re loving this guy.

My tester frags have done well and the montis/green stag have shown good PE and some growth so it’s acro time.

decided I wanted some more coverage and a little boost to par so I bought a DIY T5 HO kit from BRS and have to say it was a fun, cheap, and easy improvement.

hard to see the difference but in person the shadowing is much better and the tank just feels full of light. Almost wish I had added 4 80watts instead of 2.

decided on a blue plus and actinic
