Not tank related but I was texting with my buddy that gave me the quail. When I let him know about the loss he told me he was getting ready to set some more for me anyways. I'll have more quail soon. In the meantime I think next weekend I'll be digging a geothermal well and plumbing it into the coop.

Getting ready to head to the airport to head home. 6 hours or so and I'll start running the tank full time. In a couple more days (probably next weekend to be truthful) I'll be breaking down the 5 gallon so some GSP, a clown, and a digitata (as well as about 10-15 more pounds of rock and a VERY small CUC) will be getting transferred over. But the tank will be running today!

Thanks! I'll definitely keep you in mind! My wife says I have to take it slow on the fish. Most of the stuff is coming from the 75 and then the new additions will be trickling in throughout.

The tank is on. Over the 10 days I was gone, the siphon did not break on either overflow siphon tube. The tank level evaporated about 2" so not too bad considering we turned the AC up while we were gone and I had massive amounts of surface agitation.

Going to start moving the 5 gallon over this week. That'll give me a few smaller corals and four or 5 more rocks. I'll also be grabbing some snails and hermits this week since I've got a little algae growth.

I also need to set up the 15 as a small Fuge/frag tank combo. I've got a bunch of rubble cycling right now that's going in there once I get it set up.

In other sad news my buddy lost six of his quail on Friday so he's going to be setting some more eggs soon. Therefore, I need to dig a geothermal well in the old chicken coop for cool airflow. That's probably happening next weekend.

So if there's time this evening after work I'll be adding stuff for m the 5 gallon. Perfect timing too since the light on the 5 gallon decided to quit working while I was gone.

These will probably be added today.

I made it to Missouri! Tonight was the viewing for my grandma and the funeral is tomorrow.

So sad to read the passing of your grandma. May she rest in peace

Yeah. It was a good time with family. We just got home Saturday afternoon. She passed on July 1st, just 364 days after my grandpa.

Same thing happened with my grandma. Once her husband passed, she didn't have long.

Not the best picture but it's what I could get! Picked up a couple of snails today - 2 Nassarius, 2 Coraline Margarita, and 2 Cerith.

Also started running the skimmer last night when the lights are on. Approximately 7 hours of skimmate so far.

One more update: I started my new job today officially! I forgot my laptop at home so I worked on setting up my new office, met with the technician I'm hoping to promote, and gave my first official review to one of my employees. First days.

Oh yeah, and I ordered another bag of sand. Maybe I should cancel that. It's just snails right now but I'd like to start moving some corals over tomorrow or Wednesday but the sand won't be there until next week sometime... I don't actually need it.
