Dosed some magnesium last night. I had to come in to the office today for a little while so I'll check when I get home and add some more. The really weird thing is I've been feeding the tank heavy and fed Reef Roids the last two days and still no phosphates... Nitrates are good but gradually creeping up. Magnesium is low, alk and calcium are good.... pH could go up some but it's not bad.

We'll, my fear came true... I was afraid the hanger bracket hooks would be too fragile and they were. At least the top two were. Both top hooks broke last night but both bottom ones just bent a little... 4 can't hold it but 2 can?

In other news, I had Big Girl in there to keep her separate from the two new clowns so she's out hanging with the gang... No problems so far.

Maybe she'll stick around.

haha those were the good two
Yep. So it looks like the seams where the hooks attached to the brackets broke off clean... I almost wonder if his settings were too high.

I'm not getting my hopes up so no Debbie Downers here please. Lookit' what I found! One of the bailout polyps took up residence in the live rock. I know it'll probably not work so I'm not holding out any hope. Still, wouldn't it be cool to be one of the Urban Legends?

One of my employees is going to Hawaii next week... I just texted him the Reef Builders post and told him that I promise not to be mad if he brings me home a couple from the list... I told him that legally I couldn't buy them from him though. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

maybe not enough infill or perimeters. ask him to up those in the slicer settings if printing again.

I'm hoping to talk my wife into our own 3D printer and I'll do it myself. Looking at the pieces that broke off I'd say their infill was probably set pretty low. There were visible voids that I know weren't in the STL. I'm guessing he had it set around 35 or 40 rather than 85. You can't do 100 infill, right?

You can but it usually results in a poor print because there is usually extra material. If you have your extruder configured well (10mm extruded = 10mm of material pushed into the nozzle) then you can do it.
CNC Kitchen on YouTube is the channel to watch for learning about print strength

I'll check them out when I get mine. Thanks! For now, I just have the fuge sitting in the corner of the tank. I piled up rubble in it for pods. I figure it's ugly but makes for a nice pod hotel for temporary if nothing else.

Added some more magnesium and transferred a couple of frags that looked to be starting to suffer in the 75... No pictures yet but hopefully tomorrow?

Brought over two gonis, a Darth Maul porites, a Reverse Prism Favia, a Red Digitata, and another GSP.

Gonis - too much flow maybe

Reverse Prism Favia - very receded after that magnet leaching. Puffier today than I've seen it in a while. Maybe there's hope...

Darth Maul - honestly thought it was dead but it's still got color on half and I could see hints of the polyps.

Wait and see, wait and see.

For temporary I decided to move the Nicrew over from the 5 at least until I finish breaking down the 75 and replace it with the 90 watt K7 Pro II.

So my DIY rocks and the Aquarocks frag racks each got a small outbreak of cyano it looks like but they're all clearing up rather quickly. I have some on the glass too, but the sand is clean and white. The old rocks may have some as well but not as noticeably.

This is all that's left on the return sleeve
