12g vs. 18g

Help!! I am undecided between a 12g or 18g. I am planning to fill them with softys and some fish.

The 12g dimension are : Width 16” x Length 15” x Height 11”
The 18g dimensions are : Width 19” x Length 18” x Height 12”

From experience I’ve just went through. Go with the bigger one. You won’t regret it. I’m in the process of upgrading from 4 gallons to 22 gallons with a 10g sump. I wanted a 60 cube but was too scared to go that big lol

The 12 gallon long on BRS is a sweeeeet looking tank. I’ve always been obsessed with long shallow tanks and 60 and 90 cubes idk why lol

I don't believe either is a good first time starter tank, however the bigger the better works.

I always say bigger the better as well. I started with a 20 gallon and couldn't be more happy with mine

For an increase in footprint of a few inches in any direction, definitely the bigger. More buffer. :)

I said 18 because it offers you more options and stability, but for what you want to have as far as fish and coral, either really should work

Bigger is better in my opinion, as others have said.
*depends of course on your space/size limit
