Didn't anticipate the sudden drop of weather temp.. System is at 72.1 degrees and quarantine tub is at 67.7 degrees. To my surprise all live stock is ok. Even the kole eye tang in the tub is doing alright. My HVAC contractor is lagging. Im off to home depot and pick up a 60,000 BTU forced air propane heater to stabilize the temperature temporarily. Don't want the temp to drop further. Also hooked up my two 400w halide to help warm up the system. image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg

Great job for sure. How much flow do you have hitting the bottom of those tanks to keep detritus suspended?
I have 2 Reeflo special Hammerheads as return pumps to the system. Each of those tubs have one Jebao WP40. The displays have 2 each. I have to throttle the Hammerheads down almost halfway because the drains on the tubs cannot keep up. I used 2" pipes for the returns and barely bushed down until the pipes reached the tubs. I think there is more than enough flow going through all the tubs and tanks. Barely any detritus in those tubs.

Updates please
Temperature update. Surprisingly enough the lowest temp. I have recorded is 71 degrees F and all livestock is well. Acro polyps are out and all fishes are just doing fine. My quarantine blue tub which is separate from the system dropped to 67.7 degrees F. The Kole Eye Tang and Melanurus Wrasse in there is alive. Very surprised myself.
Currently using a 60,000 btu forced air propane heater temporarily until the HVAC contractor installs the permanent 200,000 btu gas heater. Hopefully in two weeks it's installed. The temp. of the main system is between 72.6 to 73.1 degrees F. Here are some more livestock added in the system.

Thanks still stocking up on some goodies. I have 16 scolymias coming in tomorrow. One is a real sweet Master Scoly. Oh yes the gas heating unit should help. Just ordered a Modine 200,000 BTU gas heater.

I hope you went with the upgraded stainless heat exchanger. It's worth the extra couple hundred bucks. The standards just do not hold up more than a few years. You may get the first covered under warranty but the manufacturer will likely check it out on the second.
I'm an hvac contractor and have been through it a few times around here. We replaced 4 two year old Reznor ' s last winter in a lfs that the manufacturer wouldn't cover.

Thanks for the heads up regarding the heater. What causes it? Moisture?
