Hello everyone. This isn't really a how to post just to inform newer reefers they can have a high quality sump for less then half what the dumps go for new.
This is. 40 breeder I paid 65 for it new
I had glass cut at local glass shop I found on Google. I had 4 pecies of glass cut for 55 dollars. 16$ dollars in aquarium silicone. I found a free acrylic tank on Craigslist that was in bad shape. Which I cut up with a jig saw to make the filter sock holder. And lid. A friend just bought a ruby trigger system sump and he is thinking about selling it to build one. Here are some pictures. Not everything in this hobby has to be expensive.

I agree. Although I do really enjoy the look of the acrylic sumps, I love my 40b sumps. Check out my build thread to see what I am doing for my next sump build coming up very soon

+1 for the 40breeder sump DIY!!! If you hit Petco up at the right time it's even cheaper! $1.00/gal!

Thank you. I would have made filter sock holder and lid out of glass but the glass shop wanted way to much to cut a hole.
