I'm in the process of building a tank with a full siphon planar overflow.

If you're about to Google the idea, try "Thin Weir".

I have 3 holes drilled in the bottom of my tank, one of which will be the return.

The goal is to have a silent tank, but with a 10g sump, skimmer, and temp controlled fan cooling.

I have a 35 gallon with a 10 Gallon sump that I run a Mud system with, I do weekly water changes. The growth is crazy unbelievable,
actually will have to transfer stuff to a new tank soon! Its been 3 years running....
Good Luck

Got my Tunze Nano ATO and 1073.008 return pump. I already have a heater, the plumbing bits (including ball valves for "herbie") and lighting and such.

I'm wondering if a lagoon with mangroves is where I want to go...

So that's an extra sheet of glass siliconed on the bottom to reinforce and strengthened around the bulkheads?

Not really. Accidental reinforcement is created by the framework for the 3 part weir. But no additional glass has been added.

Looks really nice. Can't wait to see it filled up :)

Thanks, and me either!

I forgot to get an adapter for my clear hose to 3/4" PVC. And I also forgot to make the opening in the stand big enough for the unions. Whoops!

Heh, you don't have to get it. :) Just kick me in the butt to get the holes cut in the stand and move it upstairs so I can get it really started!

Test fitting the black acrylic back panel.

This will serve to hide the overflow and shade it from the light to prevent algae growth.
