180 pricing

I just ran across a 180 reef ready glass tank. Stand, canopy, lights, sump, all pumps. Basically clean and go. 1200. Is this a decent or good price?

It would depend on what type of equipment? It might have top of the line equip or low end stuff that you would need to replace. Also how old the equipment is. Is the stand diy? wood or metal? Alot more factors to consider than just the tank

Good points. Tank is reef ready with dual overflows. Sump is a aquaeon sump with filter socks, don't know much more about it yet. Two return pumps are rio 2100, I know some don't like them but I have actually used them for years on my other tanks. Dual 36" 6 bulb T5 tek lights. Coralife UV skimmer. Crappy coralife skimmer, that will be replaced by one I have. Included was a Aquaripure nitrate filter, or vodka doser. Two powerheads, not enough but something. Stand and canopy are wood and premade/ordered/manufactured...whatever you call it. Something you would order.

Pick, also included are the two cabinets to the side. Both nicer style with granite top.

+1, I bought my lightly used 180 with stand (not as nice as the one in your pic) for $800, if 1200 include the tank, the stand, and some pumps then you are good. just make sure you rally enough muscle to help move it- tank is 330lb bone dry not to mention very awkward if you need to turn corners and a pain going up/down stairs.

Be careful with those stands. They are flemsy at best. If you get a wave or any rocking motion, I would not trust it at all. I have one for a 150 setting in my garage.

Yes its definitely not the easiest tank to move. I've helped my friend bring his 180 down the basement and it was an all day process plus extremely heavy. Make sure you have help to get this tank to your location key words of advice hahaha

Yeah I've seen many people re-enforce it with 2X4's inside.

Thanks for the info on the stand. I was already thinking about reinforcing as there are water issues in there.

I ended up getting it. Had help moving, took about three hours, two trucks, and three guys. Now onto the cleaning process!
