Will these fuse together or should I space them? Kinda hoping they will grow into one.

Should be good I’ve had mine close together for months and they doubled in size!

M. lordhowensis should be fine close together, I've had many placed very close and have seen systems packed with them.

The question is will they grow together? Like grafting, I know I have seen it happen with fresh cut but not sure about frags.

This is what I was thinking of, like will they have a spotted formation on the same platform or will there be a definitive line of left side green right side orange.

It's unlikely they'll graft like some other corals, they can grow side by side but you'll be able to tell which ones are which

Acans slow growers they can technically graft if you glue frags together
