Hi Ben,

would like to know if the colony of the Blue tip Aquamarine Tenuis I gave you a few weeks ago, did make it through the qualification and finally in your tank?
Will appreciate a picture how it does look like in yours with that lighting !!!! Hint....hint..... :)

Nope!
Due to some fragging what is still going on I didn't had time to find it a place yet.
Also new corals will stay in the QT for at least 8 weeks.
Your coral looks ok and I don't see anything wrong with it as we speak but it's just a rule that all corals new to my system have to go through.
Can't wait to have it in the Diesel tank one day,

Sounds very good to me!
Fully understood that you can't go any risk with new corals that you introduce into the Dieseltank.

Looking forward for future pictures of the tank and next time I swing by!

Diesel do you experience any issues with your sps coral on the sides? I have an 72'' build coming up and was curious how the 60'' fixture grew sps over the 12'' remaining space.

To be honest yes but not a whole lot.
Most corals are doing great but I have a super yellow Selago from TCK that kinda turned greenisch.
If I take frags off that and put it in the center it will turn yellow fast.
I might look into some extra lights as from Orpheck or maybe a Hydra 26 HD.

Diesel - I have a question for you regarding your bulb configuration in your Powermodule.

If I read your spotlight correctly, you are currently aligned with the following bulbs.
1) Tropic
2) Aqua Blue Azure
3) Super Actinic
4) Super Purple

LED

5) Actinic Blue
6) Aqua Blue Azure
7) Super Actinic
8) Aqua Blue Azure

I'm curious what strategy you are working towards with 6 and 7 in those positions. I would be inclined to switch 6 and 7 so that the 4 inner bulbs are all the blue bulbs and the outer bulbs would be the white spectrum bulbs. Your results are strong, so I'd like to understand your thought process here. This is the configuration, I mention above.

1) Tropic
2) Aqua Blue Azure
3) Super Actinic
4) Super Purple

LED

5) Actinic Blue
6) Super Actinic
7) Aqua Blue Azure
8) Aqua Blue Azure

Thanks

No strategy here in my bulbs, if I do that I don't think I would see any difference.
All my LEDs ramping up 100% blue, that said if I make the 4 inside bulbs blue too I would have a to big jump in spectrum when the outer 4 bulbs come on.
There need to be some kind of transition.

Diesel,
bought my own PAR meter. Very surprised about my mapping.

Do you have a PAR map of your current tank, or some numbers you found ideal for some of your expensive signature corals?

I don't want to have your thread escalated into millions of replies, but trustful PAR numbers from a successful signature coral reef is hard to find.

THX in advance for any hint.

Nah, I did not map my tank.
If corals won't do well I just move them only once after that they are on their own.
If my Rainbow Blossom does well between 200 and 500 what is worth to do map it and have a statement that my Rainbow blossom does well at a PAR of 331.6.................
I just found it a nice tool to have just in case.

One red acro is gone in upper left and a green in the upper right.

That's old.
I removed the large red planet colony as it blocked out to much light and who needs a red planet any ways :p
