20g Nuvo

So I’m planing on turning this 20g Nuvo into a frag tank I don’t want live rock or sand in the front with the corals. Would putting live rock rubble in two of the chambers with filter floss on top be acceptable? Open to any idea or suggestions thanks!!

For bio filter you could use something LIKE the marine pure balls. May be a little easier to remove the racks than with rubble rock. http://www.cermedia.com/marinepure-products.php

Do I have to remove those and rinse them every water change? Or just let them go? I’ve never used them before.

I don’t rinse mine. I do hit em with a turkey baster every few months tho.

Get two packs of marinepure gems and put them in their own respective media bag (one for each side of the racks.) That should give you all the surface area you need for a frag tank
