Little update. I got the plywood on top of stand and level. Then a little OCD kicked in because the stand was about 1/32 from fully level so I took the tank off again moved the stand because I wanted to switch from the pads under the 135 sump to a scrap piece of the plywood sheet since I have it. Then I'll level the sump to the floor, stand to the floor, then make sure plywood to stand is good then put the tank back on.
It's a dang good thing all the fish are comfy in an extra 125 I had cause this project went from a weekend to almost 3 weeks ‍♂️

Wouldnt some wood shims be the safest way to go to fill the gap between tank and stand? Then it can compress and not create additional stress points? I can push down on the back left corner of the tank and make it touch without lifting the other corners

I'd go to a home improvement center, purchase a 4' x 8' sheet of 1/4 inch styrofoam and cut it to the tanks footprint. Then place it between the tank and the stand. You can also use a yoga mat front he local sporting goods store.

Miles past those couple posts brother lol. The stand is square and level on a level floor. My floor in that area is more out of whack than I previously thought, so I've taken everything down and moved it to restart from the ground up like I said in my update tonight.
The issue with the stand is a 2x6 being slightly warped, it's not super warped but over a 6 foot span its noticable. My next stand I'll spend a few extra dollars and go to a local lumber yard instead of home depot or lowes.

I'm gonna owe some beers to some friends after all this up and down off the stand. Makes it even more fun because I built the stand 42 inches tall I want to be eye level around center tank

my last tank was tall like that. it was kewl for viewing but a pain to work inside of.. the tank was only 22 inches tall but 7 feet long. Had to use a ladder to work inside of it.. The new tank how ever is 34 inches tall Grrrr i have to get on top the 4 ft ladder and still end up with my T shirt soaking wet. But i love watching the deeper tank ...

It was 6 ft before the added plywood, so now itll be 6 ft 1. I have 2 step ladders and 2 of the big scaffolding style steps. Won't be fun to work on but dang it'll look cool.
Might just have to go snorkeling for maintenance

As a rule, I always respond to a post when I have something I think will be useful, regardless of how old the post is or how far behind my response may be in the thread. You may be well on your way to solving your problem, but there will be others coming after you with the same problem and scanning the forum for solutions.

So while my response may be too late for you, it may be right on time for the person(s) that follow you.

Good luck!

I gotcha. There seems to be a few horror stories of breaking when being on foam or mats of any kind. No solid proof that's what caused it, but it seems to be the common denominator in alot of stories. I'm glad I decided to slow down tho and not risk 300 gallons of water on the floor.
I had to work a little later than normal today so I didnt get as much done as I planned. But i got the stand moved and put the plywood under the 135 gallon sump and leveled it. Then put the stand back over the sump. I'll level the stand to floor tomorrow after work. Then level the plywood to the top of stand. Hopefully I'll be able to put tank back on stand Friday evening.

For the past 30 years, every tank in my fishroom, (all trimmed) has Styrofoam under it. I use it to prevent gaps, cracks and leaks, and it does.
