So l learned with my water test my ReeFlo Suntail Gold is way to powerful for my system. I couldn’t even open the ball valve a 3rd of the way on the return without the emergency drain flowing hard. I contacted BSR where I bought the pump they recommended. I took there advice and changed my plumbing to help. I ran another 3/4 line directly from the return to the sump return section. And another 3/4 line to my refugium instead of using the drain line.

I was going to use that one but read some bad recent reviews on it. On BRS.. So I went with the spears brand . And ordered a extra to use while I clean it. I hope it holds up.

Ordered a ReeFlo Dart/Snapper Hybrid 3600/2600 GPH today. I think the GPH will work for me. I really like being able to change the flow also.

Fair enough:). I have to back ups of the flapper types and not had to use them yet.

Do these pumps have a controller?

Lights are hung. 2- Kessil AP700 mounted in a 61in Aquatic Life hybrid T5 fixture. The pic is just the T5 on. The AP700s took about 5 minutes to setup on my IPad. .super easy. The stand looks great in a black stain. The oak grain comes right through. Looking for ideas on cord management for the tunze 6105 power heads. Also on the extra wire from the hanging light. I’m not set on the height yet until the tank is occupied ..lol.

Figured I start filling trash cans and my 2 55 gallon drums with RO water ...while I wait for my return pump to come. I’ll need close to 325 gallons.

Thank you! It’s been a lot of work but well worth it. This was my first sump build. My silicone is a little sloppy in spots but I went overkill with it on purpose. I’ll look for your build. Good luck

Everything is coming a long nicely. Went through 76 days of a fallow tank after a ick outbreak. I’ve learned my LFS tanks are full of it. Everything gets quarantined and treated regardless now. Everyone is fat and happy in the tank now. Most of my tangs where bone skinny when I got them.
