To make a long story short (check out my complete story of this tank on my other thread), I picked up a very rough 250 gallon tank (84×24×28) and steel stand in 2017. And when I say rough, I mean the silicone was literally peeling off. I assume this tank is anywhere from 10-15 years old due to the fact that it was drilled for a closed loop system (which I ditched immediately).

I gave the tank a fresh silicone seal, which is way harder than I expected btw lol. It then sat for about a year before I had the time and energy to finish it. I got the plumbing done and water in the tank November 2018.

I'm still changing things constantly, but I'm pretty happy with how it has turned out so far. I'm currently finishing the facade and canopy which should he done tonight or tomorrow!

I'd love to hear some comments from your experiences with big tanks!

Wow, that's looking nice! I like how you have the scape separated at both ends, it looks good.
Hey thanks! I decided to keep it that way for now just to have some open space. Still debating if I'll keep it that way or add a bridge of some sort to connect the two sides[emoji2]

Update! I broke down the frag tank that sits inside the stand. I transferred all the frags into the 250 for now until I can figure out a place for a bigger frag system. Unfortunate but at least I get more storage space under the tank[emoji23] soon hopefully I'll find a suitable place for a larger frag system!

All other inhabitants are doing well! Always hungry and happy to see me! I added a Pearl jawfish a couple days ago and he is doing great. Hard to get a picture of him though! I'm probably done with adding fish at the moment. Much more coral to come though!
