Thank you:)!!!....was beginning to think I was on my own here:)))!!!
But in reality...I'm putting ...all the crabs... snails and algae into my tank...god knows what kind of tanks they came from???

Bad advice i should have done more research before suggesting this,
for some reason i thought it was a good idea at the time

How long can coralline algae survive without light?
Sorry had this argument with LFS...said no coralline algae in live sand!

Coaline Algae will come on live rock and in shells. Unless you are getting live sand (crushed coral variety) from the ocean, you will have none.

Also, and this may be an unpopular decision around here, but I do not quarantine. I added my CUC directly to my tank as soon as it it was stable, zero issues. My fish all come from my LFS, which keeps them in a fully medicated system prior to allowing anyone to purchase, so the essentially do my quarantine for me.

Coraline algea is just that a algea it needs light oxygen calcium magnesium and other trace elements to survive
The best way to get coraline in your system is snail shells and your water parameters stable all those bottles of coraline (in my opinion) is not going to help at all coraline usually takes about a year to start in a stable tank

The “live” sand you get isn’t alive from the ocean its dried, washed then added to bags with dormant bacteria that becomes alive when introduced to a system
