Ghost ribbon eel just swimming around, he is acclimating nicely. Kids love to see it swim, thinking about getting a blue one now as well or at least another eel that is reef safe.

Started placing some frags today and transferring some of the corals from the 75 over as well. Everything is looking happy, just need to get my automated controls ordered so I don’t have to keep testing myself. Sorry for the poor picks using an iPhone with a lens filter and glass is a little dirty. Flipper max to arrive on Saturday. Also picked up a couple new additions today that are in quarantine Whitecheek tang, naso tang, vrolik wrasse, diamond goby, green coris wrasse and a chalk bass. Took the yellow belly blue hippo and ring tail tang out along with the arc eye hawk out of copper qt tank and placed in the frag tank. 2 more weeks and they will join their brothers and sisters

Just received my overflow cover from melevs reef. Wow almost dead silent after placing it on. I’m sure as I tweak my return line I can make it much more quieter. Very happy to be able to reduce some noise and protect from fish or eels getting into the overflow.

Finally home and able to focus on the tank did some maintenance. Added a ground probe but realized now it was the UV that had fallen I believe the bulb might have shattered which is causing the stray current. I will check tonight. Added some of my old rocks and opened up my aquascape just a little on the left side very happy with the outcome more real estate for corals and more caves for fish.

Well unfortunately my AC went out during hottest week here in central Florida. I usually keep my temp at 76-78, the tank reached up to 88.5 so as you can imagine it was not a good outcome. That I know of all the fish survived I just haven’t seen a tube anemone and a Christmas wrasse, I’m hoping they are still hiding. Half of the corals died unfortunately and most of the expensive ones. I lost a red lips cynarina, kungpao monti, all of the sticks I had so about 5 in total, and 2 torches including my jokers torch.

Temp is now at 82 still trying to bring it down slowly. Thank heavens for the apex which helped me to see where I was at and where I’m going now.

in my qt tank all survived except my checkerboard wrasse.

currently have the house at 70 to continue to bring the temps in the tanks down slowly and of course using frozen bottles of water.

on a good note I received my replacement UV, and I also picked up a Klir filter. I’m thinking of buying another one and run two.
