I have some diatams showing up on the rocks. I have had my lights on but on the blue side. I just added some snails and small hermits.

Very nice, I ordered some snails but they haven’t shown yet. I have about 6 hermits and a lemon tang (who won’t be staying too long but he is destroying any and all algae right now).

Been treating my clowns with Metroplex+Focus for white poops. Snails and crabs ate most of the diatoms already. That was faster than I was expecting. And been playing with my light settings.

I added my first corals. They are fascinating to watch. They have all opened up except one of the zoas.

In order of appearance:
Green clove polyps
Neon green hairy mushroom
Aussie teal duncan
Gatorade zoanthids
Eagle eye zoanthids (didn't open at all yet)
Blast furnace favia

I guess you could say I have "the bug". I have a 10G QT tank set up for a yellow watchman goby and a royal gramma basslet which I will treat with prazi and cupramine. I am also replacing the HOB power filter with a 3.5G HOB refugium because I want to try growing chaeto and pods.

The new fish and refugium shipments got stopped by the Texas winter storm, but I did not lose power and the tank is not harmed.

What HOB refugium are you getting?

I got my refugium and it fits next to my skimmer with a inch or two to spare. I had to rearrange my float switch for my ATO and move the heater into the refugium but it all fit... except for my lid doesn't fit around my equipment again LOL. It came with a light but I forgot to put it on.

I added some black vinyl to block the grow light from shining into my skimmer. Also shown is the light that comes with it.

I reworked the lid. This time I made a simple bow shape and made a separate cover around the equipment. This worked a lot better and provides a lot more coverage.

I got some new inhabitants today. I ordered these several weeks ago, but the winter storm messed up shipping for a while.

Royal Gramma died. :( I don't know why.

I made a spraybar for the return on my skimmer using some 3/4" pvc. I wanted to add a little more surface agitation to prevent surface scum, but I found it also works as a bubble stopper.

I got a replacement Royal Gramma but also got a Starry Blenny and Tiger Snapping shrimp. I'm pretty sure that's all the fish and inverts I'll be stocking unless I get a bigger tank. Here's a few pics of how the tank is going. I already notice the corals have grown bigger. It's pretty hard to get pics without glare on this bowfront glass.

Nice job on the lid I just upgraded to a 36 bow front as well and ended up cutting plexiglass and then using mesh, unfortunately the plexi is thin and sags. I knew I would have this problem but your lid looks good. Keep updating, following along, I need to switch my build thread over but here’s a pic.

That looks good. What is the green coral in the middle?
