I'm setting up a 90gal (standard size) mixed reef. For my 4' tank, will a 36" ATI fixture be enough? I was thinking 6 bulb....but it will be mounted in a canopy.

Plenty. I ran a 4foot fixture on a 5foot tank. If the fixture is same length as tank I feel you loose to much light washing out if the tank.

Not a 3 foot fixture, but get an ATI 6 bulb 4 foot fixture for your 90 gal!
;)

You can and in some ways it’ll allow you to have more low light corals on the outsides of the spectrum. I’m partial to the T5/ Reedbright XHO Blue combo, 4 t5’s And the XHO.

Thanks for the input.....I'm on a pretty tight budget trying to accumulate components one at a time and it just seems like I see a whole lot more of the 36" fixtures pop up for sale.
