Hi All,
I've been in the hobby on and off since 2004. I started with a 90G, then 2nd kid came in 2008 and had to break it down. I started again in 2014 with a 265g but then life events drove another break down in 2018. So I'm back again for round 3, this time with a 360gallon (325 display, 96"x28"x28"). Now that I live in Orlando and near @TopShelfAquatics, they helped me get this new adventure started. I can't say enough great things about working with them. Alex, Kevin, Greg, Ace, Shawn and the rest of the team have been phenomenal.
The stand is cherry wood from Driftwood Furniture (Salt Lake). Long story on the stand and canopy. The canopy was damaged in shipping (by the shipping company mishandling) and Driftwood built an entirely new canopy and shipped while the claim was ongoing. Dion at Driftwood is very accommodating and patiently dealt with a thousand questions from me.
On to pictures!
Stand and Canopy from Driftwood Furniture (Salt Lake City).
Installation from Top Shelf Aquatics (Orlando, FL)
Extra Special callout to Kevin @TopShelfAquatics for the rockwork structure. He took over 150lbs of Haitian rock and make these two awesome sculptures. Couldn't be happier with how these turned out.
Greg mounting 4 sets of T5's and 6 Radion XR15 G4's to the canopy. The wire management they did was super clean.
Sump layout from the side. UV setup in front of the picture.
These guys put in a nearly 12hr first day to get equipment installed.
For a while I was waiting on the GHL ION Director and move to the GHL ecosystem but repeated delays (even with a canopy rebuild) just pushed it too far for me to wait any longer. Very happy with the APEX setup so far, but still have a lot of learning to do.
Our cat loves that spot for some reason
On to cycling with some KP Aquatics rock (in the bin on the left-hand side)
