So going to save you the first 3 months of this build since it was a slow burn.

But hey we leak tested it today with some tap water, time to drain the monster and get the rock work done and filling her up!

Some interesting parts of the build, I made a custom 20g overflow the original owners of the tank had 2x 40g breeders and a third tank, all that wouldnt fit under my tank so I made my own solution!

Simply plexiglass, cut with a table saw, used Weld On for the plastic x plastic bonds, and then silicon 1 for the plexi x glass.

Had to make some custom Shims (took 2x4s and made shims) to level the tank, wasnt happy with the compensates and wanted some more surface area. Turned out great!

Rock work completed today. Very proud of this because it’s sturdy and doesn’t touch the back wall. Planning on having those gyres reverse for an hour a day to blow all the decree from behind the rock.

various other equipment for this build.

6x xr30 g5 pro (currently have 4 looking for two used)
2x Mp60s
2x Gyre 250s
2x Varios6 return pumps
Reef octo 5000 external skimmer (in sump)
Apex controller
Hydros controller

Have two dedicated circuits for the tank. Half the tank will run in one. Other half of the tank in the other.

I bought the gyres and varios4 feed pump used and the previous owner didn’t have the controllers. So using the hydros to control them.
Everything else going on Apex. As a computer programmer I love the complexity of Apex and customization.
