So I've been messing around with 3D designs for little useful trinkets for the old reef. One thing I've noticed is that a lot of the food from my automatic feeder ends up riding the surf straight into the overflow and just rots in the filter socks. I've now designed a feeding tube which should eliminate that.

Question: how deep under the surface do you think it should go to allow the food to sink?

i put 1 .5” but i think it depends on the height of your tank and the fish since some have different levels in the tank they swim in

Makes sense. My main goal is to make sure it's deep enough to allow the food to absorb some water and sink without being too deep so it gets stuck on the walls of the tube. I feel like it is probably going to be a very fine line.
