Hey all! I am looking at stocking my SR-80 4' tank currently, and I have a list of wrasses that I want to add. These all seem to be relatively peaceful, will they go well together?

* Yellow Wrasse
* Dusky Wrasse
* Yellow Back Comet Wrasse (if I can find, if not, maybe a splendid pintail)
* Ruby Head Fairy Wrasse

Also planned:
* 2 mocha clowns
* White tail or two spot bristletooth
* Sapphire Damsel
* Midas Blenny
* Watchman Goby/Pistol Shrimp
* Flame Hawk
* Coral Beauty

So I would say the
Yellow, Dusky, and pintail are all great choices. I would get a smaller, more peaceful fairy then the chalesi though. See chart below.

I also would not get a tang or damselfish and would be very cautious getting a flame hawk as all are aggressive. Finally the angel may snack on coral. Instead consider a basslet and more wrasse.

Yikes, I did not know that. It said reef safe on the page I was checking out! Dang.

What would be a good replacement for the ruby head that looks similar? Does that mean anything from the Cyanopleura complex would be in the same boat as the Rubyhead? The Darwin's glow is pretty cool.

Look at the ones I have highlighted. They are my favorites!

I'm not a hige fan of Cyanopleura. Would rather have (actually do have) a nice exquisitus instead. Ryukyuensis is an exception. I've seen those and think they look great. If you are going for multicolor, I would get an exquisite + lubbocki over one Cyanopleura if it were me. Or an exqusitus + interesting flasher like a cyaneus or lineopuntatus.

Reviving this post. What about a: Yellow Corris, Dusky, Splendid pintail, and either a line-spot flasher, or an Excuisite from Fiji or Maldives? Also, would a Lyretail Antias play nice with these? @Slocke @JoJosReef ?

Halichoeres chrysus is actually not a Coris wrasse, an unfortunate common name for it. We just call them yellow wrasses now. I would add the pintail and flasher first, followed by the yellow (which could actually be added at the same time as the other two) and lastly the dusky. Exquisite could also go in early. No experience with anthias, sorry!
