finally sorted :)
Running them at 100% for 50hrs as directed
Makes a great heater too for these cooler days
Linear actuator is fitted allowing. 45cm lift to the ceiling which is enough clearance to get into the tank
After some connection problems - combination of software issues & me being a computer dummy
Now sorted.
Leds arrive May 10th & are easily fitted to the existing frame in between each unit

Got your own tanning bad:D. nice work on hanging the lights

Well thought I would update my situation as I am struggling and could do with some support
The ibc - well lets just say
Wow. Hard work & not happy
Managing 13 tangs no filtration, let's just say - water changes
I am manually changing approx 400ltrs every 2/3 days as well as running auto changes at 100ltrs a day
Algae is so out of control it's insane
Wet skimming ,manually topping up testing daily , dosing prime every 24hrs & feeding almost half of what they were getting
The trigger is terrible stressed and has jumped a total of 4 times
The sailfin has decided he likes no one & needs the whole ibc to himself
The purple has stopped eating last 4 days
Pipe fish is struggling to feed and almost giving up although I am turkey basting food to him
Twice a day & the Mandy is getting thin also
White cheek has lost all colour and is grey
No signs of ich , just simple unhappiness & stress for them & me
I just don't want to have saved then from tank break & have them die in the ibc
So decided we don't have time to "cycle" the new tank
We will move everyone over & manage these issues in a larger volume tank with decent filtration
Monitor daily use stability & prime and pray health returns
Not the way we had planned to do this
But hey it's reef keeping - continued challenges
1 week :(
Just 1 more !!!

I think your making the right decision by putting them in the tank already, you can add plenty of bacteria to help with any ammonia and to me that would be worth it in the long run especially after you've had those fish for a while and spent a lot of money on them. How soon will you have them in their new home? I wanna see pics when it's setup [emoji33]

That's awful that things are going the way they are but don't let them discourage you! Once you get them in the new tank and it's completely setup and everything things will begin to go smoother [emoji6]

well omg
She's bigger in person than just the original black tape on the floor
We had 12 men to help and besides me not being able to stop worrying
All went to plan
We started around 5pm & took about 3 hrs to install
The 40mm base was probably the biggest killer
Billy was efficient & new exactly what needed to be done

Very very happy indeed

I'm excited for you! I wouldn't be too terribly afraid to transfer your livestock as soon as you can, I think you're correct in thinking it will alleviate a large amount of their stress. (As well as yours).

Amazing build! Probably the most spectacular tank/build I have ever seen. It's a monster!!!! ;Lurking;Vulcan;Troll;Nailbiting

Oh. Wow thank you that's very kind
We just took all the things we hated about the other build & changed them
Just really wish it hadn't gone the way it had with loss of corals

Usually plumbers will take 120 grit sandpaper anywhere thier is a glue contact point to make superior adhesion. This gives microscopic scratches in the pvc and something for the glue to grab onto.. some dont do it but I always do, I hate leaky fittings.. obviously this isnt required for threaded fittings, only slip..
