5 gallon frag tank questions

I have a 5 gallon laying around I am thinking of converting to a frag tank. I know its not alot of space. My main tank that the frags will be coming from has MH. Can I set up the frag tank with PC? I will be using mainly SPS frags. My plan is to build up egg crate so that all frags are at the top of the tank. I will put 5 lbs of live rock underneath the egg crate, and us a hob filter. Does this sound like a good idea?

It can work. Lighting depends on the type of corals, and PC lights in a short tank like that are probably good for most corals.
