Hi All,
first post. First of all thanks for accepting me in the forum community.

TANK & STAND

just in the process to build this reef tank which will be 93” L x 45” W x 31” H. According to vortech water volume calculator it’s around ~540 gallons.
Tank is made out of acrylic and stand is from t-slot.
The tank was cut to order by my local shop here in Auckland, New Zealand. I did the acrylic gluing by myself with Weldon 4 and have used reinforcement triangles inside on corners with Weldon 16 for extra strength.
Stand was designed by framing tech USA.
I imported the cut to size t-slots from China via Alibaba.com. Will try to upload some pics once I level the stand and put the tank in its place.

Hows the tank build coming? I finally got my order of weldon 4 and extra bottles.
I am making two sumps and a refugium for my 300...I got special clamps also to hold the acrylic while you glue it at 90 degrees angles

Stand:
Had the stand assembled not as hard as i thought it would be. I had to do the extra reinforcement under the floor to make sure that it holds the weight of the tank. Then laser level was used to level the stand. It got nine legs so it was difficult task with traditional level to balance all of them in one level. I used one inch thick plywood to go between stand and tank and also got one inch thick foam which is used under floor in construction as cushion on top of plywood. I painted the foam black to give tank black bottom.

tank: finished tank few weeks ago. The back is tinted with 0% tint. It turned out o be big task lol. I used flame thrower to polish the edges and all my friends to put it on top of stand lol.

sump: pulled the trigger on Royale exclusive dreambox. It arrived few weeks ago as well and has been put in place inside the stand. My overflow box and plumbing supplies came from BRS (inches) but sump had MM unions for returns and drains it was really pain in the butt to use conversion connectors. But worked out fine in the end. All the plumbing is done. I have ordered 2x RD3 230 watts pumps which is scheduled to arrive next Friday. I’ll do the leak test for plumbing next weekend.

skimmer: still in the process for ordering BK deluxe 300 and it might take a while but I’ll fill the tank and start the cycle without skimmer.

fish and rock: hopefully I’ll get the rock next weekend and start the aquascape trying to do the negative space but still trying to put as much as habitat for different kind of fish. Will update you guys when I get into it.

I really want to quarantine all the fish and corals before it go in main tank so will have to build couple of small tanks or get used one from someone.
