Which sump. There are two LOL. One is a 20 gallon high basically for the return pump and heaters. The other is a 29 gallon for the skimmer and the refugium.

Oh ok, rad! I see what you’ve done! This is some dang fine work. I have the same tank I’m getting ready to set up. I love how you disguised your light!

Thanks Scottsquatch. Yes. I planned on growing something on the skull. Saw some grown out in a reef store in Florida. Are cyphastrea easy to care for?? Lighting requirements???
Mine did well with medium light and medium flow. However, I am not sure if they do better under conditions different than that.

A lepto coral could look very cool too. Mine is growing like crazy and forming itself to the rock it’s on. What materials did you use on that light? Is that metal piping? Where’d you it? It’s such a beautiful disguise for the light!

It’s cast iron pipe. And I got the fixture at Hobby Lobby. Just a bit of DIY involved.

Well. The ammonia spike has come and gone. It was hard to wait LOL!!!! A few things I got done while I was waiting.

UV for the tank. There are many arguments for and against. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it!!!!

IMG_0760.JPG

Also put a water storage and mixing station in. The tank is a 20 gallon for QT.

And I’m going to get theses guys tomorrow!!!!

Modified my moon light today. Just don’t like the way it looked.
Here are some before and after shots.

Thank you for the info. I will keep an eye out just in case. Glad it won’t cause any problems. I am going on a trip for a week and plan to get some corals upon my return. So far I have 2 DaVinci clowns, royal gramma, fire goby, tail spot blenny and a cleaner shrimp.

Agreed on bristle worm and also agreed on keeping them as good members of CUC. But if you decide to get rid of it/them, use tweezers for tongs, not your bare hands.

Neat thread. It is a very clean set-up. You did a great job drilling the tank and setting everything up.

I love the skull you put in the rock work!!

And the bristle worms won't be a problem as as you don't over feed. If you are a heavy feeder they will grow, and can get pretty big.
