Hi,

I'm looking to order a Deltec protein skimmer and wanted your opinion on the appropriately sized skimmer to get for my setup. I'm looking at either the 600 or 1000:

- Total system volume is around 95 to 100gal.
- Primarily SPS tank with an anemone and some LPS.
- Moderate to high fish load.

Also, would you recommend the DC or AC version?

Thanks!

Hi there,

Thanks lot for the post, and great call considering a Deltec! these are truly amazing skimmers. I think the 600ix would be great fit at just under 100 gallons for sure. I'd recommend the AC versing as well. They have done really well on fixing some of the early issues with the DC pumps so i wont harp on that aspect so much anymore, but I still like the idea of an AC driven skimmer better myself.

I've got these in stock and ready to ship. Please let me know if you have any other questions at all.

Thanks again!
