I've been looking at Spyglass reactors, but I just don't have the room. Love the design.

The foot print is larger than I expected, but it's really slick. Not too much smaller than the BRS reactor, but that is without the BRS required pump since the spyglass pump is under it if needed. What really sold me was the ease in changing media. With the limited space and hard plumbed the BRS reactor was going to be a huge pain to service. They spyglass was more than I wanted to spend, of course, but it really will make gfo easy and it was a bit of a pain before and as I said would have been a huge pain now.

I just need to get a stand and have the system running!

I'm using the BRS reactor, but it's outside the sump, attached to the stand. Changing it out isn't too difficult that way, and since space in my sump is pretty much full...

That is a good idea, I just get too worried about it leaking, but they don't seem to be an issue for most people.

It's a standard water filter canister, as long as you keep the O ring in good condition, they don't leak, or at least I've never known one to leak.

That said, it's always best to be safe. The inside of my stand is sealed, I estimate it would hold about 30 gallons of water before any would leak out, and I keep a cheap, battery powered water alarm in there. Plan for failure, it's gonna happen.

I have not updated in a while, but still no stand! It's been 6 weeks plus now? Last week when it didn't come in the LFS called the rep and it is going to be free, AND the special shipped a stand ups to the store. Got a call yesterday from the rep (!) the stand arrived destroyed... he was looking around for another in the tri state area but all he would find was red. I don't want red, haha. So I don't really know what is going to happen...

It's just a 60g cube stand, 24x24! They have to make a lots of these as it's a popular size.

I just keep adding ammonia and LaCl to the tank in the back room sitting on the floor (on foam). At least phosphate and the cycle should be good!

I got the lights upgraded, wow the color on gen 3's are amazing, at least on the live rock, haha.

Finally got a stand 2 months later! For a commercial inexpensive stand it's pretty nice, better than the marineland 120 and 180.

So I need to take top off so can fit sump in there. It's a tight fit!!! I also want the hole on the other side so i just flipped the top over. Used stepper so the screws sit flush and bit of paint.

I like that sump! Can you tell us a little more about it? I looked through the thread, but I don't see any info on it (unless I missed it which is entirely possible).

Sure, it seems really slick. A skimz UP 21

http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/up21-sumpro-sump-skimz.html

Really great for cubes as it can be hard to find sumps to fit well. Has ATO chamber as well. The socks are in the back which is needed to fit everything in. I plan on reaching from the rear of the stand to make it easier or just going sockless at some point. I am very impressed with it so far.

Went to HD to find shelf or bookcase for the electrical as no way it will fit in stand. Walked out with black shelving and supports. Got one up last night. I think it will be slick and electrical on 2nd shelf will be covered by the top shelf for safety.

Ok, still a mess. But getting there.

Drilled hole in stand under top shelf for dosing tubes, top shelf will have rkl head unit and BM doser along with heater controller, gyres, and ato. 2nd shelf has radion power supplies, gyre power, 2 rkl outlets and against the stand is 50ml/min and 1.1 ml/min dosers. On bottom will be ca, alk, kalk jugs and acropower.

Plan is for the BM to dose alk, ca, acropower, the 1.1 to dose small amount of vinegar, and the 50ml to dose kalk on a set timer. The kalk will be just a small amount. Maybe 500ml/day

You planning on putting a top on that? I originally wanted my rimless cube open top. After loosing a clown, a goby, and a blenny to carpet surfing, I put a DIY screen top on it. Thinking seriously about a top from Artfully Acrylic for my current build. Expensive, but they sure do look good.
