Hello all.. This is my first thread on R2R, so please help me if I am doing something wrong as far as this thread goes.

Little background on myself.. I am not new to reefing but by no means do I know everything about the hobby, but I have had great success in what I have done. I enjoy the mechanics and quality of a build almost as much as I do the coral that I put into them. This leads me to explain the build that is about to break ground any day now. I thought I would post here and maybe get some out of the box ideas and get a log of my build from an idea to a complete build.

I am wanting to create the best and most well thought out shallow reef tank possible. I have had both deep tanks and shallow and I much prefer a shallow one.

This is what the equipment I am thinking.

60x24x10 Acrylic tank from either Synergy reef or Advanced Acrylics. I just need a bare tank because I will be modifying to my needs, myself.

Ghost Overflow from synergy reef

Custom sump
from Synergy reef or Tide line 48in sump.

Vertex Skimmer.

Apex Controller

Ecotech MP40 x 1

Ecotech MP10 x 1

Custom steel stand
with a bedliner coating, the stand will be open because I want to show off the awesome sump.

Lighting... not sure, already have a Hydra 52 was thinking about getting 2 Hydra 26s to go with the Hydra 52

I would really like some ideas from fellow reefers.

Thanks. More to come
