I’m putting together a tank set up and I’m torn between using a 65 breeder 36x18 foot print or a 75 48x18 footprint

I don’t plan on getting any fish that would require a longer tank? I am going to be drilling the tank and using a sump and all the good stuff

Is there any pro’s/cons between the two other then 10 gallons of water and 12” in length

I want to go with the 65 as it’s saving space where I plan on putting it, but the 75 keeps popping up in my mind.

Let’s hear some input please and thank you

Well it’s bigger.

It will be cheaper to light the smaller footprint.

The 36"x18" 65 gallon is a much taller tank (24") than the 75 (20"). I would not call the 65 gallon a "Breeder" which is typically the 40 gallon in that same footprint and only 16" tall. I think the aquascaping in a 65 is more challenging than a 75 due to the height to depth ratio, but some people prefer deep tanks for viewing.

Oh ya I misread. You want a 60 breeder or 75 not a 65. Footprint is more am important than gallians
