Good morning all!
I have decided to go with (2) AI Prime 16HDs for the 65 gallon build. Tank Dimensions are 36"L x 18"D x 24" Tall. How high above the water should I mount the lights?

Mine are mounted about 8 inches of the surface of the water on a 60 gallon cube, seems to grow SPS right under the surface pretty well

I have a DSA 65 Gallon, had a Local Glass Shop cut and edge two pieces of glass for me. Added the Aqueon Handle, Hinge and back strip. To the glass. If you order glass from a shop, take the Hinge and Back strip, for Aqueon larger glass top so they can match the thickness. The Lights that I really like are the Reefpro and Reefstrips by 21LEDUSA They are waterproof and set close to the glass top. My Corals have overgrown, the tank, and more are on my Christmas List, for my 120 SCA I’m getting. Also you will need to Silicone Glue the glass clips, available on Amazon, if the tank is rimless.
